At least four more bodies have been recovered on Saturday July 13, from the Kware dumpsite in the Mukuru kwa Njenga slums, Nairobi.
A statement issued by the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) indicated that the bodies were mutilated, similar to those recovered yesterday.
According to the KHRC, nine bodies were retrieved from the pit yesterday.
Today’s additional discoveries bring the number to at least thirteen,with residents fearing there could be more.
“More mutilated bodies have been recovered from a quarry pit in Mukuru, Embakasi South,” read a post by the Commission on X.
In their report yesterday, detectives noted that six bodies retrieved from the Kware dumpsite were all female. These six bodies were severely mutilated and in various stages of decomposition.
