The first translator-assisted meeting was held with the Nairobi Association of the Deaf by Diaspora Affairs PS Roseline Njogu (NAD) led by its Chair, Mr. Abdi Abdille Ali.
Matter to be discussed were inclusivity and enhanced partnership with people living with disabilities.
The matters discussed also focused on exploring avenues to ensure mainstreaming and availing opportunities for able-differently Kenyans in the international labour market as well as other empowering programmes and initiatives in Kenya and in the diaspora.
Diaspora PS Njogu noted measures the State Department is taking in ensuring on-boarding and engaging of people living with disabilities across its activities as well as adhering to the Government directive of inclusivity.
Officials from the Nairobi Association for the Deaf led by Mr.Abdille attended the meeting.
