Otto Addo appointed for the second time as the head coach of Ghana’s men’s national soccer team.
This comes after Borussia Dortmund agreed to release him from his role in talent development.
Initially Otto Addo had coached Ghana in 2022 including the world cup in Qatar where Ghana beat South Korea but was disqualified in final stage.
Otto Addo was given a 34-month contract job with an option of extending another two years.
The Ghana football Association stated that he cover would at least the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and 2026 World Cup.
He said in a statement it is a great privilege to take the role of the head coach of a national team
“To be able to take over the role of head coach of my national team is a great privilege,” Addo 9said in a statement by Dortmund.
“As interim coach I have already had the chance to gather intensive experience in this role and I look forward to the task that lies ahead of me, starting in the summer,”Addo added
He played for Ghana at the 2006 world cup and also won the Bundesliga with Dortmunnd
He took the role talent development while at Dortmund where he coached a selected group of promising youngsters at a club famed for producing some of European soccer’s brightest young talents.
